Say ‘hi’ to the Garbage Goblin!

Our preschoolers learnt more about recycling and all about the positive impact it has on our planet.

Fun with piesang! (Bananas)

In one of our Grade 1 Afrikaans lessons, the Grade 1s followed a recipe to make a ‘piesang melkskommel’ or banana milkshake! It was delicious!

Resourceful learning

Learning is more fun when you get to move! The Grade 2s walked around the class searching for their phonic words; they read them out loud and recorded them on their charts.

Little green index fingers

We exercised our fine motor skills with a creative activity; using our index fingers to spray the plants!

Copy and pasting knowledge!

Our Grade 3s created isiXhosa colour posters!

Teacher Letitia shows us her stuff!

STEAM activities on Wednesdays bring so much fun and curiosity. We are privileged to have Teacher Letitia, who helps our preschoolers to explore, discover, observe, and analyse. What happens to the colours?

What shape is this?

On Friday, we had a visit from a parent who is also a teacher. The preschoolers showed off their technical skills by showing her how to create patterns and make shapes on various apps.

Anything but the metric system

The Grade 1s having fun working and jumping on a number-line, tracing back their steps.

Party in the USA

The Grade 3s used iPads to create digital pamphlets about North America, which is the country they are exploring for the Around the World theme.

“Sewing” off our skills

We are ‘sew’ very happy in the needlework class. The Kusasa Academy is so privileged to have sewing machines to teach this useful lifeskill!
